Dennis Nieves born in Connecticut has written, produced and arranged for many of the music industry's top Artist and record labels throughout the years. Such as Shakira, Elvis Crespo, Luis Enrique, J-Lo, Franco Devita, Celia Cruz, MDO, Ivy Queen, Roselyn Sanchez, Alejandro Fernandez, Luis Fonsi, Nelly Furtado and many others. (See allmusic.com for more information and complete discography) At the age of 18 Dennis Nieves started his producing career in Toronto, Canada. Performing with the show band "Something Extra" (Nominated for a Juno Award in 1985/Best R&B Single) Dennis was able to develope his artistic soulful sound and individuality. After a long performing career with the show band, Dennis decided to explore his heritage and relocated to Puerto Rico with some family members. There he put together a home studio where he was able to record demos. After Yolandita Monge gave him a featuring recording and performing on the video for the song "Vivire sin Ti", this was his introduction to three Artist that were in search of developing a sound and composing some new material. After displaying some personal work and demos to Tico, Raymon & Sabino, they decided to form and create the group called "Unik-Ko" which quickly captured the attention of Sony Music. His involvement with Unik-ko as a producer, songwriter, and performer allowed him to expand his career by meeting and working with top name individuals in the music industry. Performing the Billboard hit song "Juntos", featuring "Yuri" helped the group gain recognition. After 3 albums with Unik-Ko, Dennis searched for a new beginning in Miami in the production field. Eager to expand in music production, and through personal acquatances, Dennis fortunately meets Producer/Engineer, Lewis Martinee (Group Expose) who opened his doors to a producing partnership for groups such as Hannah Jones, Company B., MDO, Son by 4, Merenbooty Girls, and others. Together receiving the Gold and Platinum for "Suavemente" and "Pintame" by "Elvis Crespo" Dennis reaches new heights in his career. Dennis is now well known as Dmenace Music Where he's assumed his fame as a top Remixer and programmer in House, Dance, Trance, Tribal, Hip-Hop, Salsa and Reggeton. With extensive knowledge in engineering Dennis is able to create a unique sound, and capture the essence of the song. Associating with "Rumba & Sabor", now they're currently developing new artist, he's presently in production working with various Latin Hip Hop artist and establishing a better business relationship with major record labels.
